I am stoked to see answers to the following questions:

    Photo or no photo?

Education at the top or bottom?

    PDF or word?

    How to translate military wording?

    How fancy is too fancy?

I am so excited for this event – I think there’s such pressure when it comes to presenting a CV that often we can get stuck in the minutia of it, and we lose track or focus on the important content of it. Especially for people entering the workforce or moving roles, this event will be a fantastic learning opportunity!

Thank you Mollie. Really appreciated the great session. I am currently in academia and would like to move to the practical side, but struggling to make the switch. Do you have any more advice or thoughts?

Hi Melina – I’m glad you enjoyed the session! I totally get it can sometimes be hard to make the switch. I think a combination of getting yourself in amongst communities of support is really effective. Equally, reaching out to old contacts, and creating a social presence to look for tips / guidance can be really helpful. Also maybe structuring your CV in slightly different format could potentially support the transition. Would be more than happy to support if you want to have some 121 time to do a bit of a review, and i can any help!
