We have the people, the partners, and the know-how to offer the very best advice, service and support. We harness these skills and experience to help make lives better in a smarter digital future.

Who are we

A trusted partner in the public sector

BT works behind the scenes to underpin public safety and security across the UK. The MoD, Police and other critical services trust us to keep them connected.

We are the UK’s largest employer of armed forces veterans and former reservists in the UK, including many women, and we are extremely proud of our leading work in this area. We support several initiatives dedicated to helping former and serving armed forces personnel, including those wounded, injured and sick, in their transition to civilian employment.

What we do

Transforming defence with digital technology

BT’s suite of intelligent connectivity solutions gives people access to all the information they need, when they need it. Our fully managed, secure WiFi and 5G networks lay the foundation for Front-Line Commands to introduce smarter ways of working, unlocking the benefits of new technologies that provide efficiencies, enhanced productivity, and increased security.

Our smart bases approach exploits data, innovation and experimentation that enables any military base to meet their outcomes in a secure, efficient, and effective manner. We also equip the armed forces to deal with the growing threat to cyber security.

Why We Support

Championing women in tech

We are a passionate champion of women in technology. Our TechWomen programme, launched over seven years ago, supports career progression for women across the company. Each year, we take 400 – 450 women at manager and senior manager level and invest in giving them the tools they need to progress their careers. More than 2,000 women at BT have benefitted from the initiative and this number is set to grow as the programme continues to expand and evolve.

BT aims to motivate and encourage more women to consider a career in the technology and telecommunications sectors. This partnership will provide an opportunity for us to showcase current opportunities and training programmes available with the company, as well as highlight how digital innovation is helping to transform our defence organisations for smarter, safer working.
